Mark wanted to shed some weight in the middle section of his body. The trainers at RAW advised him to carry out weekly strength training. They also prepared a nutrition plan by which Mark was able to have a faster metabolism, improved sleep, and better energy levels. It was the complete make-over of Mark’s lifestyle that enabled him to lose weight and reduce body fat percentage.
In his own words,
“When I first went to RAW I really didn’t plan to get so addicted to the training and new diet as I have. I wanted to lose some weight around the middle and learn some new exercises so I could maximize my own time in the gym, what I’ve got out it, so far (we are really only just getting started), is so much more. From my first consultation all of the trainers at RAW showed interest in my goals and progress. The diet which the team at RAW proposed is a version of Paleo – I’ve never felt better, my skin has improved, and I just generally have more energy and actually enjoy my food as well as preparing it!
I think if I had to pick a few things which have really made the difference for me, I’d have to say diet first. That has been a big transformation, I was eating a lot of rubbish, and way too much sugar and carbs, the trainers at RAW are interested in your complete health and are always on hand to offer advice and tips on new things to eat, where to shop and checking that you are getting a balanced diet. The second thing is trusting the trainers. The trainer who I work out with, is great and even when I feel I can’t do one more chin-up if he says I can trust him, and next thing you know I am at the top. So when the trainers push you – go with it, they know when you’ve had enough and they also know when you are not giving your 100%.
When my trainer asks me “how is the weight Mark?”, I know I’ve been busted and heavier dumbbells are on the way. Finally, just the friendly and approachable atmosphere at RAW, all of the trainers and staff show an interest in you and your progress, they want to know what your body fat is and how much you’ve lost and are genuinely pleased when you get the results. Since June 1st, I’ve lost 10kg and 10% body fat. My next goal is to look like my trainer!” – Mark
